Worry-free Medicare insurance coverage
Medicare Insurance Options
Medicare coverage can be overwhelming, especially with so many Advantage and Supplement plan options—and long-term care insurance choices—to consider. At The Resource Center, our specialists help individuals and families in greater Springfield, MO navigate it all, clearly explaining Medicare and long-term care coverage and guiding you in finding a plan that fit your financial and care comfort zone. We’re dedicated to making Medicare and long-term care insurance less confusing and helping you select the right plan at the right price.

Long-Term Care

As our longevity increases, planning for the future need of long-term care is a necessity. It’s important to know all your options before you will need them, especially when it comes to paying for the cost of long-term care. It’s important to note that most long-term care expenses are not covered by Social Security or Medicare, Medicare Supplement (“Medigap”), or private health insurance. The Resource Center professionals will help you create a long-term care planning strategy to help address rising health care costs and analyze options for a long-term care plan.
Medicare Health Plans

Medicare is a federal health insurance program for people aged 65 and older, people of any age with permanent kidney failure, and certain disabled people under age 65. While Medicare has great benefits and improves the lives of millions of people, it can be very confusing to navigate the enrollment process and all of your coverage options. Medicare has more to offer than most people realize. The Resource Center will ensure you are aware of all of the options Medicare, Medicare Supplement plans, and Medicare Advantage plans have to offer.
Many private insurance companies sell Medicare Supplemental Insurance Policies (‘Medigap’ or ‘Medicare SELECT’) to help fill the coverage gaps in the Original Medicare Plan. ‘Medigap’ (also known as ‘Medicare Plan F’) and Medicare Plan G are among the most comprehensive supplemental plans to choose from. If you remain in the Original Medicare Plan, you may want to consider buying one of these 10 standard supplemental policies for extra benefits. These policies help pay Medicare’s coinsurance amounts and deductibles and other out-of-pocket costs for health care. We have access to these plans to help ensure you get the coverage that you need.
Another option to supplement Medicare is an Advantage Plan within Medicare Part C. With this type of plan, Medicare pays a fixed amount to companies each month in order to provide your care. These companies must follow a set of rules from Medicare, but out-of-pocket costs can vary. At The Resource Center, we will take a look at your needs and help you determine if an Advantage Plan will be a good fit.
In addition to the plans explained above, you may have other Medicare coverage plans available to you. To be eligible for these other health plan choices, you must:
- Have both Part A (hospital insurance) and Part B (medical insurance)
- Continue to pay the monthly Part B premium
- Live in the plan’s service area (the counties in which the plan is offered)
- Not have permanent kidney failure (End-Stage Renal Disease)
Ask our professionals whether the following plans may be options for you:
- Medicare Managed Care Plans
- Private Fee-for-Service Plans
- Medicare Medical Savings Account (MSA) Plans
- Religious Fraternal Benefit Plans
