Bruce Porter grew up in Lebanon, MO. His interest in business started at a young age, when he worked at his family’s farm and real estate business. He attended Missouri State University on a pole vaulting scholarship. After years of working with a prominent national insurance company, he became a top salesman and was promoted to sales management. Bruce established his own company, The Resource Center, in 2001.
With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Bruce’s areas of specialization are retirement planning and insurance strategies. He is licensed in Missouri and multiple other states in life, accident and health, property, and casualty insurance. Bruce has also passed the Series 65 securities exam which allows him to register as an Investment Representative.
Bruce is active in his church community, where he participates in various church activities and community outreach. He is a board treasurer for SWI’s Springfield Workshop, providing meaningful employment for individuals with developmental disabilities. In December 2018, his first book “Finding The Courage To Retire: Simple Solutions in a Complex World” was published and is available on Amazon. In 2024, Bruce was honored as a recipient of the Noble Achievement Award by American Equity for his exemplary leadership in the financial services industry.
