John is originally from Hollister, Missouri and attended Missouri State University. He is a proud father to 2 children, 2 grandkids Laykin and Creik and 2 dogs. He is an avid sportsman who has enjoyed Table Rock Lake his entire life. He is a guest host on the local Sqwinchers Outdoors Hunting TV Show which airs on Saturdays.
His race car, dubbed Ron Burgandy, is a 1990 Mustang GT. Over the years, John has owned several different drag cars. He was the runner-up in the 2019 LS Fest in the LS 275 class with his 1999 Camaro Z28 ‘The Silver Juice.’ In 2023 he won the LS Fest Stock block series in Bowling Green, KY. Locally he heats up the track at Ozark Raceway Park in Rogersville, MO.
